Ultra-lightweight, low-temperature, heat-insulating bricks and boards PIREL LTI are used in industry as heat insulation for ceramic, glass melting, metallurgical furnaces and units, as well as other low-temperature units and installations, or as a back-up heat insulation with temperatures up to 750 °C.

Description

Ultra-lightweight, low-temperature, heat-insulating bricks and salbs based on amorphous silica PIREL LTI with application temperature of up to 750 °C.

There are two types of bricks and boards PIREL, namely:

  • Low-temperature up to 750 °C LTI
  • High-temperature up to
    1250 °C HTI

For high-temperature bricks and boards PIREL HTI refer to data sheet “High-temperature structural heat insulation”.

The thermal conductivity of bricks PIREL LTI is half that of foams with the same bulk weight, and for this reason, bricks are used as a special heat-insulating masonry, where it is necessary to achieve maximum heat insulation even with the smallest lining thickness.

  • Ultra-low density, ultra-light
  • Low thermal conductivity
  • High resistance to heat
  • High creep resistance
  • Resistance to fluorine gases
  • Easy and convenient laying in lining
  • No special tools are required for trimming

Scope of application:

Shaped products PIREL are used as a secondary lining for ceramic furnaces, metallurgical furnaces and other heat installations. They are often used in boilers of power plants as an effective heat insulation. Their main purpose is to serve as an insulating masonry. Bricks and boards are laid on the appropriate mortar or installed freely in the intermediate layers of the furnace lining.

Shaped products PERIL LTI 25 are designed as non-load bearing structures. The remaining grades (35, 45, 55) have sufficient structural strength.

– Drying chambers
– Filters
– Annealing furnaces
– Quenching furnaces
– Gasifiers
– Gas-flue ducts
– Distillation units
– Reforming
– Alkylation
– Hydroprocessing
– Sulfuric acid production
– Low-temperature electrolysis
– CO treatment plants and others.

Bricks also perfectly serve as insulation of cooled spaces with a temperature of down to minus 280 °C.

Bricks PIREL LTI are easily handled by tools designed for wood processing, which simplifies operation on the facility in cases where it is necessary to give the brick another shape or size in order to finish the started row.

Bricks and boards PIREL LTI are manufactured according to the basic range of molds with standard dimensions and dimensional limits of ± 1mm:
