The necessary condition for the normal operation of a rotary kiln is the straightness of the rotational axis. Its curvatures, even within the tolerance, cause intensive wear of hoops, support rollers and their bearings, increase the energy consumption of the kiln rotation, and accelerate the destruction of the lining and metal casing. There are many different methods for alignment of the kiln rotational axis straightness, based on the standard survey meters.
